18 Weeks

How Far Along: 18 Weeks

Baby’s the size of: An ugly old sweet potato. But the stats don’t lie. Don’t worry – I’m sure this kid is a lot cuter.
Total Weight Gain: 13 pounds
Best Moment this week: Taking Graham up to see his uncle, grandparents, great-grandparents and great-aunt and uncle. He had a blast. Swam in the pool every day. Played with Uncle Michael’s old toys. Learned what were Grandpa’s things (e.g. hard candies sitting out in a dish) and Grandma’s things (e.g. candles and small glass beads surrounding said candles) and what, consequently, were NOT Graham’s (e.g. all of those things and 100s of other tempting items at arms reach).
Maternity Clothes: Maternity shirts are starting to fit better than long, regular shirts. But Target’s long and lean tanks and tees are still fitting mighty fine. Too bad they’re all casual…
Gender: Final word July 24.
Movement: Starting in Kansas City, I get movement every single day. It is the bestest. Kicks and flutters and all that wonderful jazz.
Sleep: Eh. Some nights better than others. Having to wake up to pee once a night.
Cravings: Fresca’s been sounding good lately.
Symptoms: Not much. Nose is notably stuffier all the time. Contractions are definitely better when I make a point of hydrating.
What I miss: Having an oval waist. It’s seriously an adjustment in spatial reasoning when trying to fit through a tight space. I’m now as deep as I am wide. 😛
What I’m looking forward to:  Um, making some progress on Graham’s big boy room. Basically zero made so far. And no, I have no idea when that will actually happen. Just looking forward to it happening SOMETIME.

Baby is streeeeetching out these days!! :)
