22 Weeks

I’m shocked I even got this post up this week. Up until about 15 minutes ago, I was thinking we’d miss a week. But Graham settled back into bed and I’ve got 15 minutes until back-up care arrives. That’s right Graham’s still sick, and there comes a time when we have to sneak a day in the office.

5 minutes later…

Graham is up and GUESS WHO DOESN’T HAVE A FEVER?!  That’s right. First time unmedicated in 3 and a half days. That was a long 3 days, folks. Whoopee! Better get this down quickly then.

How Far Along: 22 Weeks

Baby’s the size of: A papaya
Total Weight Gain: Lost 1.5 pounds this week. Stress and energy required to care for a sick child are surely to be blamed. That’s a net 15.5 pounds.
Gender: IT’S A BOY!
Best Moment this week: Cheering Andy on at his very first 5K this week. Graham and I are so proud of him.
Maternity Clothes: Got some new ones in the mail this week and am so very excited. Old Navy Maternity is my new best friend. Needed some new work tops in the worst way.
Movement: Andy felt this guy for the first time a couple of nights ago. The doctor told him at our 20 week appointment that he still had another month before he *might* be able to feel the baby. This week, kiddo has been so active at night, I took the chance and had Andy give it a shot. Andy was waiting for the tiniest and slightest of movements then BAM. “Whoa! No kidding!” he said. And, no, I am not kidding. This kid is a MOVER. A comment I made to Andy at the time, to which Andy leaned in to my belly and said, “Son, listen. You cannot be more active than your big brother, you hear? You can be as active, but you can’t be more active.” So there.
Sleep: Getting up at least once a night, but good other than that.
Cravings: Nothing in particular.
Symptoms: No new ones!
What I miss: My stamina. I’m tiring out quicker these days. So it begins…
What I’m looking forward to:  The circus. Hehe. Yes, we’re going to attempt a re-do this weekend. Andy exchanged our circus tickets from the event we missed on Saturday at the box office downtown and got us seats for this Sunday – the last day of the show. Wish us luck!

And heeeeeeeeere’s that belly!

  1. So happy Graham’s fever broke.  Love your new top!  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the circus.
